Christos Kardana is a screenwriter and
writer/director with dual Greek Cypriot and British nationality. A marine
biology graduate, he travelled extensively, working in dive exploration and
underwater camerawork. His writing has been recognised by the CineStory
Foundation, Austin Film Festival and The Academy’s prestigious
Nicholl Foundation Fellowship. He was part of Creative Europe’s MIDPOINT
Institute’s Writers Room, BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew and SERIENCAMP’s Pitchpool
(for the development of new TV series drama productions). His last short BLOOD
(premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival) starred real life teenage
boxing champion Sonny Hardy, Ian Charleson Award nominee Elliot Barnes-Worrell
and Laurence Olivier Award winner Katie Brayben. His upcoming project ICARUS, a
drama set between land and underwater, is an international co-production (Grasp The Nettle Films
and White Boat Pictures) and supported by the British Film Institute.
