Christos Kardana is a screenwriter and director with dual Greek Cypriot and British nationality. Originally a marine
biology graduate, he travelled extensively, working in dive exploration and
underwater camerawork. His writing has been supported by the CineStory Foundation, the British Film Institute, Austin Film Festival and the Academy’s Nicholl Foundation Fellowship. He was selected for Creative Europe’s MIDPOINT
Institute Writers Room, BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew and SERIENCAMP (for the development of TV series). His latest short film ICARUS is an international co-production between France, Belgium and the UK, made with the participation of the French National Centre of Cinema (CNC) and France Télévisions. Christos’ feature film BURNING SEA is in development with GRASP THE NETTLE FILMS (UK) and GRAAL FILMS (Greece).
